Lufthansa is aiming to complete an agreement with SAS over the 20 percent stake it still holds in bmi by the end of the year. While the cash strapped Scandinavian carrier has long indicated it wished to sell its holding in the UK airline. But while Stefan Lauer, a Lufthansa management board member, said he wanted this situation resolved by the end of 2009, he did not say that his airline was ready to buy up the stake. Mr Lauer was quoted in a German magazine WirtschaftsWoche as saying "I assume that there will be a solution by the end of the Parmigiani Fake year." He added: "Much is being written and I do not comment on it. At the moment, we are restructuring the company (bmi) and after that there has to be a decision on what offers the best strategic perspective for bmi." Lufthansa took control of bmi earlier this year when it paid the outgoing chairman Sir Michael Bishop a total of [pounds sterling]223m to take over his control of bmi. SAS Group said it will save SEK1 million (USD 145,600) per year by reducing its directors' fees by 25 percent. Sep 21, 2009

SAS directors have voted to cut their fees by 25 percent, retrospectively effective from September 1. The loss making Scandinavian airline which is owned by Activa Fake the governments of Sweden, Norway and Denmark, said the move would save it SEK1m (EUR 99,000)in a year. Sep 21, 2009

SAS Group airlines flew 2.24 billion RPKs in August, down 17.1 percent from the year-ago month. Capacity dropped 20.5 percent to 2.94 billion ASMs and load factor rose 3.1 points to 76.1 percent. SAS Scandinavian Airlines flew 2.05 billion RPKs, down 18.1 percent, against a 21.9 percent cut in capacity to 2.66 billion ASMs. Load factor rose 3.5 points to 77.1 percent and yield was down 3.2 percent.
